It’s cold here in England and that means keeping warm is essential. One thing I love about Winter is the fact that I have to keep myself warm but can do so with cozy jackets and jumpers. Recently I’ve been contemplating adding some new jumper pieces to my wardrobe as I feel like I’ve been recycling the same ones and so I did some window shopping.
For those of you who have been there from day 1, you’ll know that I like window shopping for clothes on the internet. Mainly because I can do it from the comfort of my home, I can get a quick general overview of what’s out there in the world of fashion and finally I can stumble across some new sites.
It was great that the team at Gearbest.com contacted me last month to collab on a post. I’d never heard of them before and made sure I did a bit of research to find out who they were. Gearbest is an online store selling apparel, electronics and more. It looks like they’re also the parent company of Stylebest.com. I was more than happy to look at their site and thought “Why not look at their jumper collection?” So I did, and also looked at their dress selection because… dresses. I’ve got 6 jumpers and 6 dresses I quite like the look of all below. Explore with me!
This jumper looks so soft and warm! Definitely needed for these cold days. The hem detail at the bottom of this sweater is fun and reminds me a bit of Tinkerbell’s dress in Peter Pan. I love the yellow one.
The rich darkness of this red makes me think of Red Velvet (can you tell I’m a bit peckish? Haha!). I love everything about the look of this from the silhouette to the twist in the middle to the pearls.
We have another pearly one here, and this looks a bit more cropped. I definitely prefer it in the Grey than the Green or Red, but wouldn’t turn down any of them.
High low tops are another thing I would love more of in my wardrobe. I think they’re so fun. I’m really loving the green of this top as well.
The lace-up detail on this is lovely. I remember seeing a YouTuber wearing a similar jumper and really liking it. This would be perfect pairs with a high waisted pencil skirt and some simple peep-toe heels.
I used to have a top that was similar to this and it was one of the warmest jumpers I ever had. I would love to have another one that was similar. Also, due to the jumper being black and of a simple shape it will probably go with just about anything! Dress down with jeans and trainers, dress up by layering it over a dress, heels, statement earrings and a clutch.
Who can go wrong with a cute black dress? And it’s a turtleneck! I love turtlenecks. Not too sure if I’ve mentioned it before… I find that this is a perfect length for keeping warm in Winter, transitioning into early spring where it’s still a bit chilly.
I love the striped detail on this and the way that it looks on the model. Now I’m not sure if the stripes towards the bottom of the dress would make my “childbearing” hips more noticeable, but I like the look of this nonetheless.
“It’s not everyday” wear a fitted dress. A loose fitting one can be as stunning, and sometimes even more flattering. This dress is simple and elegant.
Most clothes have different colour options and the black one came up first. I instantly fell in love with the pattern and the silhouette. Then I realised there was a white version and checked that out. Now sometimes you’ll look at the different options for an item and prefer one to another. With this, I like both of options equally.
I love this – simple, striped and the slit is not too high. I’ve seen a lot of dresses recently that have the highest slit and I’m just like… it’s unnecessary. No-one needs to see my upper thigh/bikini line. I think this is a good height.
I HAD to find something purple to add to this and saw this dress. LOVE! Purple is my favourite colour and I’m so happy that a shade of that, UltraViolet, is the Pantone’s colour of 2018! More purple in my life please!!!
FYI I have not spent any money at Gearbest.com yet and therefore don’t know what the quality of their clothes or delivery times are like. Looking at their sizing for tops I would fit into XL (UK Size 10) and if the jumpers look a bit forgiving in terms of room to breathe, I may stick with that. For dresses, especially figure hugging one, I’d be to a 2XL (UK Size 12), edging more into a 3XL (UK Size 14 – these hips ooo!) I do look forward to getting a few gems from Gearbest in the future. Take a look around the website and see what tickles your fancy. You may even find something you want to purchase!
So here’s my question for this post:
Have you shopped at Gearbest? If so, what was your experience? I would love to hear your comments.
