Hello lovely people! I hope you’ve had a great week so far! For those of us in England particularly, haven’t we had such beautiful weather the last couple of days?☀
I feel like this month has gone quite fast! This time next week we’ll be in June! Have you felt the same or has May been a bit of a drag? Comment below!
On to this week’s post:
Sometimes it’s good to go back to the drawing board and look at your vision for what you do, especially if you are serious about the growth of our dream. Also at times, it can be so easy to lose focus on the purpose of your goals. This kind of analysis is something I try to do AT LEAST once every year, especially around P:I’s blog which was last week. Click the image below to read the post.
In going back to the vision, I thought it would be great to look at what the words “PURSUE” and “INSPIRE” mean.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PURSUE?
Follow or chase (someone or something)
Seek to attain or accomplish (a goal) over a long period
Continue or proceed along (a path or route)
Engage in (an activity or course of action)
Continue to investigate or explore (an idea or argument)
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO INSPIRE?
Fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative
Create (a feeling, especially a positive one) in a person
(inspire someone with) Animate someone with (a feeling)
Give rise to. e.g ‘Burberry says its 2002 collections were inspired by the inimitable style of London in the 1960s.’
Breathe in (air); inhale
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PURSUE:INSPIRE?
As the path of dreams is followed and chased, the person witnessing should be filled with the urge to go for theirs. We are to give rise to inspiration in others by what we do.
Imagine if we were able to help someone expand their mindset (lungs) and inspire enough confidence (gas) to satisfy their goals (oxygen requirements). Imagine the effect that would have on someone else. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying run your race for an unknown person in the hope you’ll help change their life, but instead run in such a way that you may inspire.
Be smart. Be consistent. Be honest. Be legal (please… I beg).
What does “Pursue:Inspire” mean to you? I’d love to hear from you below!
Until next time
